Whitefield is Bengaluru’s benchmark IT-residential belt, next to ITPL and the EPIP tech zone (~6-8 km) with the Whitefield (Kadugodi) Purple Line metro and Phoenix Marketcity close by. Here’s what residents say about living in and around Whitefield.
Residents rate Whitefield highly for its walk-to-work access to ITPL and EPIP, the mature spread of schools, hospitals and malls like Phoenix Marketcity, and the newer Purple Line metro at Kadugodi that has eased the daily commute. The most common complaint is traffic and parking, with the ITPL and KR Puram stretches choking during peak hours, followed by patchy road quality and monsoon dust; the airport at ~45-50 km also feels far.
Overall sentiment: mostly positive — 4.2/5 from 12 resident reviews.

What Residents Say About Whitefield
Living here means I cycle to ITPL in ten minutes and everything from malls to hospitals is minutes away. Whitefield just works for IT families.
Loved the metro finally reaching Kadugodi and Phoenix Marketcity is my weekend spot, but the evening traffic near ITPL tests your patience.
Great schools and social life, plenty of restaurants. Parking near the tech parks is a real struggle though.
Convenient for work but the roads get dug up constantly and monsoon dust is annoying. The airport run takes forever.
Best decision for us as a working couple; both offices are on the ORR side and the malls and gyms are all here.
Everything you need is close, yet the peak-hour jams and honking make daily commutes exhausting.
